I have been living in Jakarta since 2000 and started making pictures in the city in 2003.

I focused exclusively on life in popular areas inside Jakarta’s administrative boundaries (or « DKI »).

This is part of my quest for knowing human society. You will therefore find here a personal expression, based on social life, to which a documentary dimension added with the time.

 

Photographs are distributed by theme.

This is artificial. I never work for themes. They are not a motivation and only appear as a result. But the viewer needs consistency and themes give him/her clarity.

Portraits are absent as I cannot reach most people and ask for their permission.

My photographs do not include processing or retouching.

Pictures will be renewed from time to time.​

Saya tinggal di Jakarta sejak tahun 2000 dan mulai memotret di kota ini pada tahun 2003.

Fokus saya eksklusif pada kehidupan di kawasan-kawasan populer di dalam DKI.

Ini adalah bagian dari pencarian saya untuk mengetahui manusia. Jadi disini Anda akan menemukan ekspresi pribadi, berdasarkan kehidupan sosial, dengan dimensi dokumenter yang telah ditambahkan seiring waktu.

 

Foto-foto dikelompokkan berdasarkan tema.

Sebenarnya saya tidak pernah bekerja berdasarkan tema. Itu bukan motivasi dan hanya muncul sebagai hasil. Tetapi pemirsa membutuhkan konsistensi dan tema-tema memberi kejelasan.

 

Saya tidak menampilkan potret (foto orang) karena saya tidak dapat menjangkau mayoritas orang untuk mendapatkan persetujuan mereka.

Foto-foto saya tidak melalui penyuntingan dan pengolahan ulang.

 

Foto-foto akan diperbarui secara berkala.

Je suis arrivé à Jakarta en l’an 2000 et ai commencé à y photographier en 2003, en passant au numérique.

Je me concentre exclusivement sur la vie dans les quartiers populaires, à l’intérieur des limites administratives de Jakarta (ou « DKI »).

Ceci s’intègre à ma quête de connaissance de la société humaine. Vous trouverez donc ici une expression personnelle, basée sur la vie sociale, à laquelle une dimension documentaire s’est ajoutée avec le temps.

 

Les photos sont présentées par thème.

C’est artificiel. Je ne photographie pas intentionnellement des thèmes. Ils ne sont pas une motivation et apparaissent en résultat. Mais ils procurent au spectateur cohérence et clarté.

 

Je ne publie pas de portrait, ne pouvant joindre la majorité des personnes pour obtenir leur accord.

Mes photographies n’incluent ni traitement ni retouche.

 

Des renouvellements seront effectués régulièrement.
